Sub-Surface Ittigation (SSI)

SSI is particularly appropriate where there are major site and soil limitations or constraints, such as steep slopes or heavy impermeable soils, such as puggy soils, heavy clays or highly permeable sandy soils.

However, this system requires pumps as it involves pressure dosing of a 15 mm pipe. The pipe is fitted with a turbulent flow or pressure compensation emitters and have built-in protection against root intrusion and biofilm development. The pressure compensation valve ensures even distribution of effluent and low application rates across a variety of gradients or elevations.
